Destination Imagination Global Finals May 2018Eleven students from Knob Noster Middle School participated with 8,000 other students from more than 15 countries in Destination Imagination Global Finals during the week of May 22-27. Taylor Trudell, Chance Howard, Roston Olson, Eli Brandenburg, and Joshua Gallo competed in a Science Challenge requiring them to make an amusement park ride in an unlikely place with a set budget to include a skit and two additional team choice elements. Ryland Olson, Mason Grosz, Miguel Lara, Drew Fundaburg, Noah Schoepke, and Victor Candelaria-Beard participated in the Engineering Challenge requiring them to build a structure of wood and glue within specific height and weight specifications, include a skit, make an event depicter, and two additional team choice elements with a small set budget. Although both teams did not place, they showed great improvement and had a wonderful time at the event exploring many STEM/STEAM activities, visiting with members from NASA, attending a duct tape costume ball, and much more.
