Girls Track and Field Team Win Class 2 State Championship

2018 Girls Track and Field State ChampionsThe Girls Track and Field team placed first at the Missouri State High School Activities Association Class 2 State Track and Field Championships for the first time in program history.

After winning the District and Sectional Championships, the team continued their phenomenal season at the State Championship. Jessica Sader placed 1st in Javelin and 4th in Discus, setting the State record the third year in a row in Javelin. Daeja Carter took 2nd place in the 100M Dash and 4th place in the Long Jump. Olivia Frisbee placed 8th in Javelin, and Moriah Shaw placed 3rd in the 100M Hurdles and 4th in the 300M Hurdles. On relay teams, Carolyne Corbett, Deja Holloway, Zoey Hodson, and Daeja Carter took 4th place in the 4x100M Relay; and Daeja Carter, Kaitlyn Everts, Zoey Hodson, and Moriah Shaw placed 4th in the 4x400M Relay.
