The Knob Noster High School Cross Country boys team placed fourth as a team at the District competition in Branson, with all runners recording their fastest times of the season at Districts. Three athletes qualified for the State Championships held in Jefferson City: Sam Wilhelm, Carinne Fundaburg, and Haley Robles.
Sam is a two-time Cross Country State Qualifier and earned a medal this year at the State Championships by coming in 17th place out of 175 runners with a time of 17:53. He moved up from 72nd as a freshman to 17th place in his sophomore year. Sam also earned All-State Cross Country runner in 2018.
Carinne finished 71st and Haley finished 118th out of 176 state runners.
